The lunch was pretty naff .. we were told pizza would take too long so go for pasta or salad . We had one of each and they were both terrible. Mount Vesuvius is done independently so you’re really only paying for transport. Having said that the tour guide at Pompeii was excellent and the transport was very efficient and well organised so I would recommend.”

After we finished our tour in Pompeii, we had a fantastic lunch with two other couples at a vineyard where they provided farm to table foods and wine. From there, we went on the horseback ride with Alexandra as our guide. She was great, and the ride was fun as we rode through the vineyards in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius.”

I'd suggest doing Vesuvius in the morning when clouds are clear. Highly recommend this tour !”

Sergio was the archeologist on the Pompeii tour and Mario was the guide for the hike.luigi was our driver who drove us from Pompeii to Mt Vesuvius. The group for the Pompeii tour was a large group of 20, but the Mt Vesuvius was just our family of 6. The communication between Sergio and Mario could have been better since he didn’t know where or when we were supposed to meet with Mario after the Pompeii tour.”
